1080p price: GPT is the cheapest in this lineup, Ideogram is the most expensive

For 1080p delivery without reference images, using high for GPT and Ideogram , the image output fee from low to high is:

  1. GPT Image 2.5: approximately $0.03975 per image , official calculator estimate. [2]
  2. FLUX.2 [pro] = Seedream 5.0 Pro: $0.045 / image. [6] [10]
  3. Nano Banana 2.1: $0.0504 / image , set to 2K level. [4]
  4. Ideogram 4.5: $0.10 / image , using high for text-to-image. [8]

GPT / FLUX use 1920×1088 and Seedream uses 1920×1080; Nano / Ideogram use 2K landscape output resized to 1080p. Input and other charges are additional. Ideogram costs $0.03 at low; GPT costs about $0.159 at max, so the ranking applies only to the settings above. Midjourney starts at $10/month and is listed separately as a subscription.

Maximum resolution: Nano Banana 2.1 leads; GPT supports 4K landscape output

Nano Banana 2.1's square 4K resolution is 4096×4096, the highest total pixel count; GPT Image 2.5 can generate 3840×2160 pixels. Seedream reaches up to about 4.62 MP, FLUX and Ideogram about 4 MP, and Midjourney's HD square is 2048×2048. For large images, first look at Nano Banana and GPT. [2] [4] [7] [9] [16] [20]

Speed: Nano Banana 2.1 was fastest in our poster test at about 24 seconds

Nano Banana 2.1 about 24 seconds, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst about 35 seconds, Seedream 5.0 Pro about 65 seconds. All three ran through fal with the same product-poster prompt, retaining the first result from each. Ideogram’s roughly 16 seconds and FLUX’s roughly 23 seconds come from the separate portrait task. Original images and parameters appear below.

Compare images from shared prompts to choose a model

People and hands: FLUX stands out for materials; Ideogram follows instructions better

The same prompt, both 2560×1440, each generates one photo of the potter by the window. Requirements Holding the cup in the left hand, placing the right hand on the table while preserving natural skin texture, linen texture, and glass refraction.

First FLUX.2 pro result: a ceramic artist by a window holds a cup in her right hand, with a clear perfume bottle in the foreground
FLUX.2 [pro] The skin, linen folds, and wood grain are more distinct; However, the left and right hands are contrary to the requirements; the cup is held by the character's right hand. fal · 2560×1440 · About 23.3 seconds
First Ideogram 4.5 result: a ceramic artist holds a cup in her left hand and rests her right hand on the table
Ideogram 4.5 The relationship between left and right hands is correct, and the perfume bottle outline is clear; The figure is more centered, and the overall lighting is more even. fal · medium · 2560×1440 · About 16.4 seconds

Choosing from this test: If photographic texture matters most, FLUX is worth trying first. If the prompt has many action and composition requirements, include Ideogram in your shortlist too. Assess realism and instruction adherence separately.

Product posters: Nano was fastest; GPT looked most photographic

The same perfume-poster prompt tests glass, droplets, slate and three specified text strings. All three images correctly reproduce MOSS、AFTER THE RAIN、EAU DE PARFUM · 50 ml ; the main differences are composition and materials.

Nano Banana 2.1 first MOSS perfume poster: glass bottle on the left, English title on the right

GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst generated MOSS perfume poster for the first time: glass bottle on the left, English title on the right
GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst The bottle, droplets and slate share a continuous scene, with more natural reflections and depth of field. It looks the most photographic of these three images. fal · high · 2560×1440
Approximately 34.8 seconds
MOSS perfume poster generated for the first time by Seedream 5.0 Pro: glass bottle on the left, English title on the right
Seedream 5.0 Pro The text is complete and the layout simple, with cooler colors. It also separates the left and right into panels, with flatter lighting on the product. fal · standard · 2560×1440

Choosing from this test: Quickly make a social media poster, Nano Banana 2.1 is more suitable; For product main visuals requiring coherent space and detailed materials, I would choose GPT Image 2.5. The "fastest and most realistic" in the title refers only to the first poster of this set of three models: the former is the measured waiting time, the latter is the editor's visual judgment.

View prompts and test records

Generated through fal on October 18, 2026: five images from five models across two task groups. Midjourney was not tested. Each model received one prompt from its group and produced one image; the first result was retained, without rerolls, retouching or color grading. Images scale to their display containers; click to view the originals. Timings run from server submission to result retrieval, including queueing and a polling interval of about 2 seconds. Nano actually returned 2752×1536; the others returned 2560×1440. GPT used high, Ideogram medium, Seedream standard and Nano minimal thinking. Quality tiers are not equivalent across providers, so this is not a six-model ranking under identical parameters.

Ceramic artist prompt

Create a photorealistic editorial photograph, horizontal 16:9. A fictional 38-year-old East Asian female ceramic artist at a worn oak workbench beside a large north-facing window. Waist-up view, her left hand holding a small imperfect ivory ceramic cup at chest height, right hand resting naturally on the table. An unbranded clear glass perfume bottle half-filled with pale amber liquid sits in the foreground. Overcast daylight, neutral white balance, soft shadows, visible natural skin pores, fine flyaway hairs, linen shirt weave, ceramic glaze imperfections, physically believable glass refraction. Camera at eye level, 50 mm lens, moderate depth of field. No beauty retouching, no text, no logos, no illustration.

Product poster prompt

A horizontal 16:9 advertising image for a fictional perfume named MOSS. One square clear glass bottle, pale amber liquid exactly half full, brushed silver cap, simple white paper label with the exact word "MOSS" in black. The bottle stands on a wet dark slate stone beside one small fern leaf. Soft daylight through a window from the left, believable glass refraction, tiny condensation droplets, detailed paper fibres, restrained neutral colour grading. The product should look photographed, not drawn or CGI. Leave the right half of the frame as clean pale sage negative space, with the exact headline "AFTER THE RAIN" and the smaller line "EAU DE PARFUM · 50 ml". Do not add any other objects or words. Premium minimal editorial art direction.

Select the model according to the task

  • Photorealistic hero images: GPT Image 2.5; photographic source images: FLUX.2 [pro]. The former's community sample images tend to be more detailed advertising images, while the latter emphasizes natural materials and photographic feel. [13] [14]
  • Quick illustration, storyboard, and social media variant: Nano Banana 2.1. In same-prompt poster and comic comparisons, its lines, panels and blocks of color are more distinct. [13]
  • For text-heavy posters, choose Ideogram; for multilingual marketing images, try Seedream. Evaluate typography and graphic composition in the former, and multilingual, structured information in the latter. [15] [17]

1080p price comparison: no reference images; high for GPT and Ideogram, standard tiers for the others. Only image output is compared; input and thinking are charged separately. GPT / FLUX use 1920×1088, and Seedream uses 1920×1080. Nano Banana and Ideogram generate 2K landscape images that are then resized to 1080p. Tier names do not imply equivalent quality across brands. Ideogram’s release page says pricing does not vary by resolution, while its API documentation still lists 1K / 2K tiers. Use the free dry_run to verify pricing when integrating.
