Add B-roll to a video
Plan supporting shots around your narration, reuse your footage and generate only the shots you need.
Start with the main video
Provide your talking-head video or voiceover, its transcript if available, and any product clips, screenshots or photos you want to show. B-roll illustrates what the speaker says while the narration continues. Choose where a supporting image explains more than another shot of the presenter.
Ask for a timed shot plan
Use rikoko to review my attached video and suggest three B-roll inserts. For each insert, identify the spoken phrase, start and end time, visual idea and which of my assets can be reused. Preserve the original narration and total duration. Show the plan first. If a new shot needs AI generation, propose a compatible model and cost separately. After I approve, assemble the inserts and export an MP4.Reuse footage or generate a missing shot
Review existing assets first. For a missing shot, describe the subject, action, framing and duration; provide a product reference when identity matters. A local edit can use your existing clips without a generation service. Creating new footage requires a configured provider. Keep the narration underneath the inserts and adjust cropping to the final frame.
Check timing and continuity
Watch each insert with the surrounding sentence. Check that it illustrates the correct idea, returns cleanly to the presenter and leaves captions readable. Listen for narration gaps or overlapping clip audio. Ask for timing or crop changes while reusing approved footage.
